ARRID RT1212 SOLAR REGULATORS

The ARRIDTM RT series regulators can be used for DC inputs up to 12 amps to prevent overcharging of batteries. LEDS indicate if the battery is still being charged or is in a fully charged state. The ARRIDTM RT series regulator is also advailable with an equalize option, to help over come sulphation in batteries (RTE). The Equalization mode can be turned on or off with the push of a button.

If the battery in your vehicle or boat is left without charge for a prolonged time it will become sulphated and useless. To keep the battery charged, it is best to use a 5 W solar panel to keep the battery in a fully charged and operational state.

Please note it usually takes 4-5 W of solar panel to keep an N70Z sized battery charged, a 1 or 2 W panel will not be enough. If there is a drain on the battery, such as an alarm, a larger panel may be required. For dimensions please see page 14.

Helps to prevent batteries flattening, when cars are left without being used. These panels are suitable to trickle charge the 6 volt batteries found in many vintage cars. Available unframed or with an anodized aluminium frame that can be used for mounting.
